Vision technology has evolved significantly in recent years, and making it easy to implement many kinds of applications. But watch out for surprises!!!

Here’s an example. What you see in the middle of this image appears to be a contour in the shape of a vertical sine curve, right? Not really. The contour doesn’t actually exist. It’s just the way our brains interpret the shifted lines. A camera would not see it that way!!!

The point is that whether you are working with cameras, optics, image processing, or variable parameters, the reliability of many successful applications is quite simply based on experience.
